Holistic and supervised Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Service that is in an alcohol and other drug free environment for residents over the age of 18 years who have been affected by alcohol and or other drug dependency. They also provide a service to clients who have been affected by sexual violence and cannabis issues.

Goldfields Rehabilitation Services include:

  • 15 week minimum residential rehabilitation and transitional programme
  • 12 month transitional housing / outreach support
  • Cannabis Intervention Sessions
  • Sexual Assault Counselling and Support Services which includes 24 Hr Crisis Support
  • Pre and Post Rehabilitation Outreach Support

Sobering Up Service

The shelter provides a place for those affected by drugs and / or alcohol that is a safe and secure place to sober up away from incarceration and dangers. Clients who are repeat clients will receive assistance with their alcohol & other drug issues through a referral service for counselling or other support.

Alcohol and Drug Support

Counselling, information, referral and advocacy for individuals and families affected by alcohol or other drugs, including those referred through the courts or police for the Western Australian Diversion Programs.

Services include:

  • Consultancy and referral services for health professionals.
  • Outreach services.
  • Community education and prevention programs to address alcohol and other drug related harm and suicide.

Hope Community Services - Street Vans

Alcohol and Drugs

HOPE’s Street Vans travel to areas in the Perth and Goldfields regions where young people congregate on weekends and after school.
Street Vans provide a healthy, safe environment where young people are welcome to engage – there are games, crafts, music, fun, and cool drinks in the summer, and blankets and beanies in the winter. Staff and volunteers at Street Vans provide information about misuse of alcohol and other drugs, emphasising ways to minimise harm, including safer using, reducing use, and not using at all.

Other subjects include mental health, physical health, including sexual health, support and referrals, and healthy activities such as arts and crafts, basketball, volley ball and badminton.

MEEDAC Patrol

The MEEDAC Reach Out program and Community Bus Patrol is a prevention and intervention service, working at street level to minimize harm from “at-risk” behaviors and intervene in situations before actual harm is caused or the situation escalates requiring the intervention of Police or other services. The approach is non-coercive and seeks to be culturally appropriate.

HOURS:

  • Monday – Friday: 10am – 2pm and 4pm – 12am
  • Saturday: 4pm – 12am
  • Sunday: 4pm – 8pm

Needle Exchange Program

Needle and syringe programs (NSPs) can be found across metropolitan and regional Western Australia.
All NSPs must supply a safe disposal container with any needles and syringes they provide. They also offer health education and can refer people to drug treatment services.
