Reclaiming Our Lives is a group program that supports women who have been or are victims of family and domestic violence.
The program consists of eight two-hour sessions held at a safe venue, where you can share and talk openly about yourself, your relationships and your family.

The program provides information about domestic violence but also encourages participating women to support each other emotionally and practically.

Each session focuses on a different topic.

Mums and Dads Forever focusses on assisting families to reduce conflict and develop more positive ways to communicate so that children are not “caught in the middle”. The program helps parents understand how conflict impacts children and young people so that parents can support their children through the separation process.

Run over eight two-hour group sessions, the program covers:

  • The separation process
  • Managing emotions
  • Conflict management and effective communication
  • Impact of separation and conflict on children
  • Setting boundaries
  • Understanding oneself and own and children’s needs
  • Parents do not attend the group with their former partners.

headspace Pilbara is Australia’s first innovative headspace service, providing outreach-based headspace services to young people aged 12-25 through co-location with Pilbara community, education and health services.

headspace Pilbara have Youth Wellbeing Workers based in Newman, Port Hedland and Karratha, and are able to coordinate support to young people to enhance wellbeing, including mental health, alcohol and other drug services, vocational and education services as well as primary and sexual health services.
